WISH Society
Welcome to Whistler Independent Supported Housing Society, we are a registered non-profit charity in Whistler, BC. Established with a vision to create supported housing for young adults with developmental disabilities. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive community.
Our Story
In 2019, a collaborative effort among Whistler families took shape to create supportive housing for their loved ones. They registered a non-profit organization in British Columbia, organized successful fundraisers, and formed a dedicated board of directors. Today, they have achieved charitable status, securing grants and donations to advance the coffee table concept.
Our Mission & Vision
Establish secure housing for young adults with developmental disabilities. Our collective vision—or WISH—as parents of adult children with developmental disabilities is to help them secure a supportive future, one where they can live healthy, happy, safe lives in the town where they grew up: Whistler.
